A drying completion report summarises the monitored areas, final recorded conditions, equipment removal and any remaining limitations. It supports the handover from drying to repair.
It is not a warranty that every concealed part of a building contains no moisture, and it should not present WME readings on non-wood materials as the actual percentage of water in the material.
What completion means
Completion means the recorded information at the agreed monitoring points supports ending the planned drying programme, subject to the limitations stated.
Comparative and material context
Final readings should be interpreted against suitable reference areas, material type, repeated positions and environmental conditions.
Outstanding items
The report should list inaccessible areas, excluded materials, separate specialist work and reinstatement requirements that remain.
