Water damage can spread quickly

Water can affect far more than the area you can see

Water can travel through ceiling voids, insulation, wall junctions, floors and adjoining rooms. A professional assessment helps establish the areas affected and the appropriate drying and repair work.

The photographs below show genuine water-damage conditions from properties My HomeDry has attended.

Our process

A monitored drying programme

Drying times depend on the building, materials, severity and environmental conditions — we do not quote a fixed duration in advance.

  1. Step 1

    Contact and initial triage

We collect essential information about the incident, property and affected areas and advise on the appropriate next step.

  2. Step 2

    Site assessment

The affected areas and materials are inspected, with moisture readings and photographs taken where appropriate.

  3. Step 3

    Drying programme

Professional equipment is installed where appropriate, with progress reviewed using recorded monitoring points, relevant site conditions and suitable comparative information before the next stage is agreed.

Equipment

FAQ

Common questions

If your question isn't answered here, call 07815 622384 — we can talk it through.

  • Where it is safe to do so, stop the water at the source or turn off the mains stopcock, keep clear of any electrics that may be affected and move valuable items away from the wet area. Call us as soon as possible so we can discuss assessment and mitigation. If a pipe still needs repairing, an emergency plumber may need to attend first.
